On August 27 & 28, Pine Forest will proudly honor our nation’s greatest citizens at the first annual Merrill Lynch Wounded Warrior Classic benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.  Participants can compete in tennis, golf or both and all net proceeds will go directly to the Wounded Warrior Project (described below).  Click the link above to register now! 

From battlefield to bedside, the Wounded Warrior Project assists those men and women of the armed forces who have been severely injured in conflicts around the world. Returning to civilian life, they face greater challenges in obtaining assistance and finding opportunities to provide for themselves and their families.

 

The Daniel Island Club Tennis Pavilion will host the 3rd Annual "Raise a Racquet" for the CBC on August 27 - 29.  Activities include ladies' and men's doubles and mixed doubles matches, a cookout and a silent auction. The CBC tournament brochure/registration form is now available at the Tennis Pavilion or by clicking HERE (.pdf) for the entry form!  Entry deadline is Sunday, August 22 at 5:00 pm. $60 per player.

 

Mark your calendars!  The LCTA will host its annual Member Party, in conjunction with a CPTL match at Family Circle Tennis Center, on Friday, October 1st at 6 pm.  Details to come...

 

The Alan Fleming Senior Open Clay Court State Championship will be held October 6 – 10, 2010 at the Seabrook Island Racquet Club. The tournament, a South Carolina Level 1 State Championship event as well as a Southern 200 point tournament, showcases over 250 players from all across the country. With 44 brackets, it’s an opportunity to compete against some of the best players in the Southeast and beyond. Registration for the event begins August 15, 2010 at Discover Seabrook. (Go to “Tennis” under “The Club” heading and click on “Alan Fleming Tournament”.)  The Alan Fleming Tournament is also a fundraiser for Hospice of Charleston Foundation with last year’s event topping $36.000. The Ace Breast Cancer Tournament will be held again at the I'on Club October 8-10, 2010.  This will be the 8th Annual event.
